Phillies to activate Bryce Harper on Friday

The Phillies will likely be getting a two-time MVP again very quickly.

The crew will activate Bryce Harper on Friday, NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Jim Salisbury reported. 

Harper has been out since being hit by a pitch from the Padres’ Blake Snell on June 25, fracturing his left thumb. In his first rehab look Tuesday at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, he homered twice. In his second, Harper hit a walk-off double. 

At 69-55, the Phillies entered Thursday night time two video games forward of San Diego for the second wild-card spot. They will start a three-game collection in opposition to the Pirates at Residents Financial institution Park on Friday.
