Sean wins prime SDS award as athletes and coaches land accolades

Scottish athletes and coaches have been outstanding among the many winners when Scottish Incapacity Sport staged their annual awards for 2022.
And we have been delighted to rejoice with Birmingham 2022 silver medallist, Sean Body, as he received one of many prime accolades.
In all, there have been 4 winners from Para monitor and subject which was illustration in a really robust 12 months for Para athletes in Scotland throughout a spread of sports activities.
‘I used to be happy to attend the SDS Annual Awards and AGM and it has been a really thrilling 2022 for Para sport in Scotland,’ stated Pamela Robson, our Nationwide Incapacity Pathway Officer.
‘Sean received one of many fundamental awards and that was nice to see as a result of the competitors was robust with different medallists from the Commonwealths. Sean’s efficiency in Birmingham was such a powerful one and an actual spotlight.
‘I used to be additionally happy to see awards for Adam Donnachie, Graham Harvey and Ruth Watson.’

The SDS Award winners for athletic have been as follows:
*Sean Body – The Findlay Calder Trophy offered to the SDS Athlete of the Yr
*Adam Donnachie – The Russell Hogg Bursary is supported by the Russell Hogg Belief which goals to encourage participation and proved monetary help for worldwide athletes
*Graham Harvey (Forth Valley Flyers) – the Neighborhood Champion Trophy recognises a person or organisation who has gone above and past to help the event of Para sport of their area people
*Ruth Watson (Aberdeen AAC) – The Russell Hogg Trophy celebrating Improvement Coach of the Yr

Up subsequent is the Russell Hogg Trophy celebrating the Improvement Coach of the Yr
This years award goes to somebody who has been a frontrunner in making certain the efficient inclusion of athletes with disabilities in her membership in Aberdeen
