Drones flying over stadiums delays UW, Seahawks video games

SEATTLE – The University of Washington Soccer and Seattle Seahawks video games had been briefly delayed over the weekend due to a drone that flew over the stadiums. 

Throughout Saturday night time’s Washington-Stanford recreation, play needed to cease due to a drone flying over Husky Stadium. 

Crews with FOX Sports activities stated it didn’t belong to its manufacturing. 

In response to the Seattle Occasions, UW head coach Kalen Deboer stated on Monday the drone was not owned or affiliated with the college’s athletic division. 

The Huskies beat Stanford 40-22.

At Sunday’s Seahawks recreation, both Falcons and Seahawks players had been instructed to go to the sidelines because the drone subject received found out. On the time, Atlanta was leading, 27-23, with 6:42 remaining within the recreation. The delay was about eight minutes. 

It’s unknown if the 2 incidents are linked and who owns the drones.

In response to the Federal Aviation Administration, flying drones in and round stadiums that seat 30,000 folks or extra is prohibited by legislation starting one hour earlier than and ending one hour after the scheduled time of any of the next occasions: Main League Baseball, Nationwide Soccer League,  NCAA Division One Soccer video games, NASCAR Dash Cup, Indy Automobile and Champ Sequence Race.
