Man Fakes His Arrest For Surprise Wedding Proposal

Many go out of their way to arrange a unique and unforgettable wedding proposal. Be it going to unconventional places to propose or arranging a flash mob, we have all seen those videos. 

In a recent incident, a man took a surprise proposal to a different level altogether when he faked his own arrest with help from real cops. The video of the whole setup is now going viral.

The video posted on the official page of Whitman Police Department shows a man getting arrested in front of his girlfriend in a restaurant. This was, as you know by now, all part of an elaborate wedding proposal plan. 

The video shows two officers of Whitman Police Department in Washington handcuffing and arresting the man inside a restaurant. 

However, outside the eatery, where the police car is parked, the man is seen getting down on one knee in front of his girlfriend, who is visibly perplexed, as he presents the ring to her. 

The cops shown in the video soon start smiling to let everyone know that it was all an act. The woman says yes (phew!) and then hugs the man. As they say, all’s well that ends well. The ‘fake arrest’ was approved by the department chief.

Netizens are loving this unique banter between people and the police. 

Another user congratulated the couple and wrote, “Congratulations great job all thank you for your service.” 

The girlfriend in the video, Kristen Fleming, also thanked the police department in the comments. “Whitman Police Department you guys are amazing! This was a day I will NEVER forget, and I can’t thank you enough for everything you did to help Wayne bring this to life! The only thing that could have made this better might’ve been a spontaneous tase for good measure. Thank you for being a part of one of the best days of my life.”
