Tallahassee weekend packs Caribbean Carnival and swampy Packrat


The 4th Annual Tallahassee Caribbean Carnival kicks off with the Carnival Village opening at noon Friday, Sept. 9, 2022.

When you can dodge the rain, September brings a gentle beat of music and festivities. Test web sites and climate stories, as rain is in the forecast this weekend. 

Soccer is again and FAMU has a home game at 6 p.m. Saturday towards Albany State. Florida State has a breather this week. 

The Tallahassee Caribbean Carnival, which has been on hiatus the final couple of years, is scheduled for “Rebirth” this weekend with a Carnival Village, parade and stay music at 2810 Sharer Street. Take a look at a traditional automotive present and music on the Annual Wakulla Springs Automobile Present on Saturday.
