Emirates picks Thales-made leisure system for A350 fleet

PARIS, Sept 8 (Reuters) – Thales (TCFP.PA) on Thursday introduced that Emirates selected to equip its future Airbus A350 fleet with a passenger leisure system made by the French aviation provider.
“This new fleet of A350’s will likely be outfitted with Thales’ premier AVANT Up inflight leisure resolution to supply the best cinematic and personalised buyer expertise”, Thales mentioned in an announcement.
The system consists of 4k shows providing over 5,000 tv channels, bluetooth connections, Wi-Fi, and varied charging ports for moveable gadgets.
Emirates has ordered 50 Airbus A350-900 long-haul plane with deliveries scheduled to start in 2024.
