Bin strikes: Garbage traces streets throughout Edinburgh festivals


Hundreds of people that work in waste assortment in Scotland are on strike, which suggests they’re staying off work in protest over their pay.

Bin staff in Edinburgh began their 12-day strike final week, which has seen rubbish piling up in the city throughout its world-famous Edinburgh Fringe Competition.

The federal government and the native council say they’ve provided a pay rise they will afford, however the unions who signify the employees have stated what’s been provided is not sufficient due to the cost of living crisis.
