Males’s Basketball Pushes Profitable Streak to Eight Video games with Wire-to-Wire Victory over Rutgers-Newark
Heem Burno tallied eight assists, 5 steals, 5 factors, and 4 rebounds for the Cougars who stay unbeaten at 8-0 total and 3-0 within the New Jersey Athletic Convention. Eli Camacho totaled 11 factors for the Scarlet Raiders who fall to 1-6 total and 0-2 within the NJAC.
Barker scored seven of his 10 first-half factors as Kean opened the competition on a 16-9 run. Newark answered with a 10-1 run to chop the lead all the way down to 19-16 with simply over 9 minutes to play. The Cougars closed out the half on a 20-9 run for a 37-25 benefit at halftime.
Within the second half, the Scarlet Raiders opened with an 8-3 run to shave Kean’s lead all the way down to 40-34 with 14:37 remaining. The Cougars answered with a 19-5 run that shut the door and prolonged the benefit to twenty factors.
The Cougars maintained their double-digit lead for the rest of the competition.
Letrell West totaled 13 factors, whereas JD Daniels tallied 11 factors and Jailen Jamison notched 9 factors and 4 assists.
Head Coach David Turco and the Cougars will return to motion in Ewing, N.J. on Wednesday, Dec. 7th, towards the Lions of the School of New Jersey at 7:00 p.m.
