President Murmu to confer nationwide awards for empowerment of individuals with disabilities on Saturday
New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu will confer the annual Nationwide Awards on people, establishments, organisations and state/district for his or her achievements and work in direction of the empowerment of individuals with disabilities (PoD) as part of the ‘Worldwide Day of Individuals with Disabilities’ celebrations on 3 December.
Yearly on the event, the Division of Empowerment of Individuals with Disabilities (Divangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment organizes the Nationwide Awards.
“The award scheme was ruled below the Nationwide Awards Guidelines, 2013 until 2017. It supplied 7 classes of disabilities as per the Individuals with Disabilities Act, 1995.
