MSU Division of Music college current French-themed recital

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Three Mississippi State Division of Music college members and their particular visitors will carry out the recital “Voulez-Vous Français Avec Moi?” 7:30 p.m., Monday [Oct. 24] within the Music Constructing’s Lecture-Recital Corridor.

The recital—that includes Affiliate Professor Jeanette Fontaine, Assistant Professor Roza Tulyaganova and Teacher Sophie Wang—is a collaboration with MSU Division of Classical and Trendy Languages and Literatures’ French program. The college members will carry out quite a lot of duets and solos from French vocal repertoire interspersed with historic details about the picks. English translations of unique texts shall be projected through the performances.

Particular visitors from the music division embrace Jason Baker, percussion professor; Jackie Edwards-Henry, retired piano and piano pedagogy professor; Anthony Kirkland, trumpet affiliate professor; and Daniel Stevens, division head and music professor.
