USC Swimming Captures Six Occasions Throughout Dwelling Opener

USC Swimming captured six occasions on Friday, Oct. 14 to wrap up the primary of three classes on the two-day USC Invitational. 

The Ladies of Troy opened the afternoon with a win within the 400y medley relay, as Hanna Henderson, Kaitlyn Dobler, Anicka Delgado and Elise Garcia mixed for a 3:31.91 to take first. 

Trojan rookie Justina Kozan impressed as she claimed the 500y Free in comeback vogue, edging out Auburn’s Emily Hetzer to the touch first in 4:41.09. Sophomore Marlene Kahler completed third in 4:45.28. 

For the second weekend in a row, fifth-year Isabelle Odgers gained the 200y IM, this time clocking a 1:56.88. 

Sophomore Chris O’Grady led a Trojan sweep within the 200y IM as he touched first in 1:45.85. Harry Homans completed second in 1:47.34, simply .40 forward of teammate Henry Blaul (1:47.74) who touched third. 

USC closed out the primary afternoon of motion with a pair of wins within the 50y free. On the boys’s aspect, Artem Selin blasted a 19.70 for first, whereas Kaitlyn Dobler clocked a 22.30 to take the occasion for the ladies. 

Motion continues tomorrow with the primary of two Saturday classes set to start at 9 a.m. PT.
