UTEP presents classical music by black composers
EL PASO, TEXAS (KTSM) – Professor Cherry Duke and pianist Dr. Esequiel Meza, Jr., might be presenting songs by African American and African Diaspora composers on the UTEP Division of Music School Recital Collection, Saturday, Oct. 8 at 6 p.m.
The “Life & Loss of life” live performance might be showcasing works for voice and piano by underrepresented composers, particularly artwork songs by African American and African diaspora composers, together with a number of girls and three Latin American composers, starting from the 18th to the twenty first century.
