Shortlist of finalists for The Menu Meals and Drink Awards 2022

Tonight is the night time the place prime food and drinks companies from throughout Tayside, Angus and Fife might be recognised at The Menu Meals and Drink Awards 2022.

After a two 12 months hiatus on account of the coronavirus pandemic, the awards will make their comeback welcoming round 230 visitors to The Previous Course Lodge in St Andrews.

Celebrating one of the best of native and shining a lightweight on the meals, drink and hospitality sector, 5 judges together with Eniola Adeniyi of Gidi Grill, Martha Bryce of Sound Chew PR, Jamie Scott of The Newport and Julia Bryce Brian Stormont of DC Thomson deliberated the winners after whittling down the shortlists.

A complete of 14 awards might be offered tonight together with the Neighborhood Award which was voted for by The Courier readers.

The celebrated Model Ambassador accolade recognises a person who champions native produce and whose enterprise has made an vital contribution to the areas burgeoning food and drinks scene.

A stellar line-up of five chefs from across The Courier patch will prepare dinner up a five-course meal for these in attendance which incorporates sponsors, judges and finalists.

The cooks embody:

  • Martin Hollis, govt chef, The Previous Course Lodge in St Andrews
  • Praveen Kumar, chef proprietor at Tabla Indian Restaurant in Perth
  • Derek Johnstone, head chef at 18, the flagship restaurant of the newly refurbished Rusacks Lodge in St Andrews
  • Ian Syme the Fairmont St Andrews’ govt chef
  • Dean Banks, chef/proprietor of Haar Restaurant in St Andrews

Hosted by Scotland’s Nationwide Chef, Gary Maclean, The Menu Meals and Drink Awards 2022 is sponsored by a variety of companies.
