‘Founding spirit’ of Notting Hill Carnival honoured

Professor Whyte mentioned: “From Emily Wilding Davison, who famously died for her trigger, to Claudia Jones, whose life-long wrestle for social justice helped encourage the Notting Hill Carnival, these are individuals who made a distinction and it is an honour to play a component in ensuring that their contributions are remembered.”
