AMELIA, La. (WAFB) – The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Workplace stated it has evacuated a avenue in Amelia after an unknown hazardous materials was discovered at a house on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Deputies stated Barrow Road is shut down from Lake Palourde Highway to Duhon Boulevard and the evacuation is confined to a bit of Barrow Road.
