ANDOVER — Delphine L. “Del” Carter, 91, of Andover, was referred to as to be together with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023, whereas at her residence.

She was born Oct. 5, 1931, on the residence of her grandmother, in York, Pa.

Del was the daughter of the late Chester and Dale Spahr Raffensburger of York, Pa. After dropping her father at age 7, and her mom at age 13, she was raised by her aunt, Martha Raffensburger of York, Pa.

After graduating from William Penn Excessive Faculty, on the age of 17, Del tried enlisting within the Navy, however was denied entry for being too younger. Burriss of Andover, Ohio, whom she married on Nov. 26, 1980; and daughters, Nanette (Kenneth) Cole of Kinsman, Ohio, Cathleen (Allan) Amy of Mantua, Ohio and Kelly Leonhard of Jamestown, Pa.; and grandchildren, Shannon (Duane) Williams of Cochranton, Pa, Navada (James) Better of Kinsman, Ohio, Zachary (Sarah) Amy of Mantua, Ohio, Ericka (Mark) Surtel of Ravenna, Ohio and Anthony Leonhard of Jamestown, Pa.; and great-grandchildren, Macie, Alaina, Concord, Beckham, Lydia, Scarlett, Jaxon and Carlyn.

She was preceded in dying by her granddaughter, Vanessa Ann Cole, on Jan. 4, 1984; and her brother, Chester Raffensburger, in 1988.

As requested, there have been no companies and interment was in Kinsman Cemetery.
