Hannah Waddingham to Host 2023 Olivier Awards

Per Variety, stage and display star Hannah Waddingham will host the Olivier Awards April 2. The honors acknowledge one of the best in West Finish theatre.
Waddingham is a three-time Olivier nominee for her work in Spamalot, A Little Night time Music, and Kiss Me, Kate; and an Emmy winner for her function as Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso. She takes over internet hosting duties from comic Jason Manford, who has hosted the ceremony for 5 consecutive years.
Previous hosts of the Olivier Awards ceremony have included Michael Ball, Imelda Staunton, Clive Anderson, Gemma Arterton, Stephen Mangan, Hugh Bonneville, Sheridan Smith, Lenny Henry, and Catherine Tate.
The Olivier Awards, that are the West Finish’s high theatrical honors, have been established in 1976 because the Society of West Finish Theatre Awards. Renamed for the beloved British actor Laurence Olivier in 1984, they’re thought of to be the equal of Broadway’s Tony Awards, with equal tv protection on the general public broadcasting channel ITV.
The forty seventh Annual Olivier Awards might be held on the Royal Albert Hall, with nominations to be launched this spring.
