The Romantic Comedy, FIREFLIES Introduced At Clague Playhouse Opens On Januay 20
Clague Playhouse presents the romantic comedy, Fireflies by Matthew Barber, from the novel ‘Eleanor and Abel’ by Annette Sanford, to proceed their ninety fifth Season.
Retired schoolteacher Eleanor Bannister lives a quiet life alone in tiny Groverdell, Texas, set in her routines and safe in her place because the city’s most revered girl – till a gap in her roof attracts the eye of Abel Brown, a smooth-talking drifter intent on renovating Eleanor’s home, and probably her life. Can the sudden sparks of late-life romance be trusted, or is there fact within the gossip that Abel is not all that he appears to be?
