Fletcher sisters declare high junior equestrian awards
THE TRINIDAD and Tobago Equestrian Affiliation (TTEA) not too long ago held their Finish of Yr Awards for 2022. The Fletcher sisters, Justynne (14 years), and Jaimie (aged 12), did very effectively in each the leaping and dressage.
Justynne copped first place within the Junior Leaping League Awards on the Novice Degree and second place within the Junior Dressage League Awards at First Degree. She rode ex-Trinidad Derby winner, Cape Canaveral, in each disciplines.
Her sister, Jaimie, received the Junior Dressage League Awards at First Degree on her mount, Takeover and received the Junior Leaping League Award for the Maiden Degree on her horse, L’ouvre.
The Novice Degree was the best degree awarded in 2022 with Sandhya Moll on ex-Trinidad Derby winner, Apocalypse, successful the Senior Leaping League Awards for the Novice Degree and the Senior Dressage League Award at Coaching Degree on Avenue Dancer.
There have been 46 Dressage League entries all year long, primarily within the Junior lessons.
Patrice Stollmeyer received the Senior Dressage League Award on the Third Degree on her horse Monte Carlo, with Janelle Spencer successful the Senior Dressage League Award along with her ex-racer, Audacity to Hope, at First Degree.
Charlotte Mack on Apache was the highest rider in Junior Dressage League at Coaching Degree.
The winner of the Yr Finish Awards for the Junior Introductory Degree was Layla Rose Sankersingh on the horse, Madame Bean, with Mia Carter on Penny, putting second and Hailey Ali on Free Spirit third. The Introductory Degree was the biggest class with 23 riders competing all year long.
Elizabeth West on Moana was the highest rider within the Grownup Leaping League on the Maiden degree.
Hailey Ali on Free Spirit was the highest Junior Leaping League rider on the Newbie 2 degree whereas seven-year- previous Lillie-Belle Balkissoon on Starlite was the champion rider at Junior Leaping League Newbie 1 degree.
Riders needed to compete in a minimal of three lessons so as to be eligible for the Leaping and Dressage League Yr Finish Awards.
The TTEA’s competitions will resume in 2023 with Dressage League 1 on the finish of January. 4 Dressage League competitions are deliberate, in addition to Leaping League competitions, along with the Caribbean Equestrian Affiliation’s Regional Leaping Competitors and its Mini Leaping Competitors, and the CEA Dressage and Mini Dressage Competitors.
