Thieves steal uncommon Nineteenth century books from College of Tartu library | Information

The books dated to the Nineteenth century and had been changed with forgeries, which meant the crime remained undetected between April and August, the daily writes (hyperlink in Estonian.)

“In April, two males, one older and one youthful, entered the studying room on the College of Tartu’s division of manuscripts and uncommon books, claiming a need to check the group of censorship and printing coverage in early Nineteenth-century Russia,” Tartu Postimees stories.

“As soon as that they had [consulted the books] for a 10-day interval they left, having exchanged eight uncommon books with well-made forgeries,” the every day added, reporting that the crime was solely noticed a number of months later, in August.
