Malaysia political coalitions signal settlement backing PM Anwar’s unity authorities


KUALA LUMPUR: The leaders of 5 political coalitions and events within the authorities of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to help his administration on Friday (Dec 16).    

The MOU, amongst different issues, said that each one events within the respective coalitions ought to vote to help the prime minister in all issues associated to confidence and provide, and issues that may have an effect on the legitimacy of the federal government.

Alongside Mr Anwar, the MOU was collectively signed by Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) chairman Abang Johari Openg, Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) chairman Hajiji Noor and Parti Warisan (Warisan) president Shafie Apdal.
