The Labor Division stated Cooper, in Camden, discriminated in hiring in opposition to 45 Black and Hispanic individuals and 19 white ladies who utilized for per diem nurse affiliate jobs and paid 336 ladies employed as supervisors, nurses, and clerks lower than white males in comparable positions.

The settlement was reached as a part of the Labor Division’s enforcement of guidelines governing federal contractors. Cooper contracts with the Facilities for Illness Management and Prevention, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Shopper Product Security Fee, the Labor Division stated.

Cooper admitted no wrongdoing.
