In footage: Thailand’s floating basket competition, a celebration of water Goddess

Loy Krathong, also called the Pageant of Lights, is an annual competition celebrated with nice fervour in Thailand. On this momentous day, individuals collect round lakes, rivers and canals to launch krathongs and search forgiveness for contaminating the water our bodies, together with expressing gratitude to the goddess of water, Phra Mae Khongkha.
