Unhappy tidings start A Christmas Story Christmas, a follow-up movie to the 1983 holiday classic.
Ralphie Parker (a returning Peter Billingsley, who additionally narrates!), now grown and an aspiring novelist, will get a dreaded telephone name from his loving mom (Julie Hagerty) throughout Christmas 1973.
“It’s the passing of Ralphie’s father [Darren McGavin, who died in 2006] that calls him house,” says Billingsley, now 51. To honor his previous man, Ralphie brings his personal spouse (Erinn Hayes) and their two children to Hohman, Indiana, to have a magical vacation similar to those he remembers.
Search for extra acquainted faces from the 1940-set unique, like tongue-stuck-to-flagpole Flick (Scott Schwartz) and bully Scut Farkus (Zack Ward). And never a lot has modified for Ralphie himself, stories Billingsley: “He’s an everlasting dreamer. He’s all the time fantasizing issues.”
