Not all Williamson County residents could make a grievance towards faculty books. Right here’s why.

Donna Clements, middle, speaks at the Williamson County School Board meeting Oct. 24 about changes to the district's instructional policy.

The residents spoke about being “censored,” faculty leaders working in a “closed type of authorities” and probably searching for “redress in a peaceful, untimid method.”

Their feedback had been directed on the Williamson County College Board. The purpose of rivalry for these Oct. 26 board assembly attendees, and different residents, was the next coverage:

“A grievance about Board permitted textbooks, educational supplies and supplementary educational supplies might solely be made by a present WCS guardian/guardian, worker, or scholar.”

The board finally voted to approve the coverage after a proposed modification, together with all county residents, failed after practically an hour of debate.

Modification consists of ‘residents’

College Board member Donna Clements stated she’d heard a number of instances in board member discussions main as much as the assembly that “you want to have pores and skin within the recreation” — that means a baby at school.
