Notting Hill Carnival: Footage reveals lady being ‘assaulted’ and ‘hit with fuel canister’
olice have launched footage exhibiting the second a 19-year-old bystander was “very significantly” injured when she was hit on the top with a fuel canister and overwhelmed to the bottom throughout the Notting Hill Carnival.
Two teams of younger males, largely hooded, turned concerned a violent struggle in Ladbroke Grove, west London, simply after 7pm on Monday August 29.
The “fully harmless” teenager, who had been standing on the scene, was struck on the top with a fuel canister after which kicked and punched.
The teams of males then fled in reverse instructions, and the girl was admitted to hospital.
The footage was launched by the Metropolitan Police on Saturday in a bid to steer witnesses to return ahead.
Detective Constable Sam Packer mentioned: “The sufferer was left very significantly injured in hospital following this incident – though she has been discharged she continues to wish therapy for the accidents she sustained.
“She is a totally harmless member of the general public who was attacked with out provocation or warning by individuals who have been intent on inflicting violence.
“In the event you have been there and noticed what occurred, or have footage that would assist us establish these accountable, please do the proper factor and call us instantly.”
