Clacton Carnival organisers give out £4,000 to charities
CARNIVAL organisers raised 1000’s of kilos which will likely be handed out to twenty-eight charities to assit their very important work.
Clacton Carnival came about in August at Clacton Pier and this week, organisers revealed they’ve given out £4,000.
The cash was given out on the carnival’s presentation night at The Tavern in Holland-on-Sea earlier this month.
Mascot Honey the bear was given the responsibility of delivering the cash to every charity.
Nicky Robinson, carnival director, stated: “The charities who had helped us throughout carnival week had been every given a donation to assist with their very own work.
“It’s all the time nice to present the cash to these very worthy causes.
“After a few years of the pandemic and a scaled down carnival final 12 months, this one was good regardless of it being held through the hottest week of the summer time, properly accomplished to everybody who helped.”
Throughout the carnival, Clacton Carnival Affiliation had a staff of collectors on responsibility with guests placing money of their tins whereas Honey was there to satisfy and greet youngsters.
