Heavy rainfall hits Ukhrul autumn pageant
Ukhrul: The onset of Cyclone Sitrang induced heavy rainfalls throughout many components of northeast India, together with Manipur on Monday.
The continuous rainfall has hampered the continuing 1st version of the Northeast Autumn Pageant at Jorcheng, Lunghar in Ukhrul district and the organisers Chiko Adventures determined to cancel all of the actions, together with the musical live performance for Day 5 (Monday).
“Owing to the continuous raining since final evening, we have now cancelled all of right this moment’s actions, together with the Rhythm Night time,” stated Shangcham Shangjam, an organiser. The week-long pageant was aiming to draw vacationers by the pageant and promote eco-tourism in northeast India.
