The Flash and Man of Metal stars be a part of drag film

Worlds of DC duo Michael Shannon and Kiersey Clemons will play a father and daughter in comedy film The Younger King.
Written and directed by debutant Larin Sullivan, this film is about to start filming within the first quarter of 2023 and takes viewers to ’90s Las Vegas (by way of Deadline).
Clemons stars within the lead function of Jules, an aspiring drag king who visits Vegas to reconnect together with her estranged dad or mum Mick (Shannon), a legendary gambler and part-time get together clown.

As she prepares to enter the US drag scene, Mick is lower than impressed by his daughter’s actions and chasing the affections of dancer Ronnie (Nope‘s Barbie Ferreira).
Thrilled to be producing the challenge, Mister Smith Leisure’s CEO David Garrett shared in an announcement: “We’re delighted to current Larin’s contemporary twist on a traditional Vegas story by shining a lightweight on the drag king scene, which has hardly ever, if ever, been explored on the large display screen.
“Led by our stellar solid, that is an extremely emotional father-daughter story that may resonate with consumers and audiences.”

It is a busy interval for Clemons, who’ll reprise Iris West reverse Shannon’s Common Zod in The Flash soon enough; she additionally has Godzilla and the Titans for Apple TV+ on the horizon.
In the meantime, Ferreira stars in Prime Video’s House of Spoils, which options Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose as an formidable chef opening her first restaurant on a distant property.
In addition to the warmth of the kitchen, she’ll cope with “crushing self-doubt, a doubtful investor” and “the highly effective spirit of the property’s earlier proprietor, who threatens to sabotage her at each flip”.
