Polin’s Sohret Pakis receives Govt Board Award at WWA Present 2022

Sohret Pakis, Director of Advertising and Communications at Polin Waterparks, was lately honored with a 2022 Govt Board Award, one of the crucial prestigious awards within the water park trade, from the World Waterpark Association (WWA).

The Govt Board Award was formally introduced on October 5, 2022, in the course of the WWA Present on the Caesars Discussion board Convention Middle in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the participation of senior executives of main trade specialists. Andrew Chafatelli, Chair of the World Waterpark Affiliation Board of Administrators, and Chris Landgrave, Vice Chair of the World Waterpark Affiliation Board of Administrators, introduced the award, which was accepted by Pakis. Govt Board Awards are introduced yearly to people or organizations for particular accomplishment within the water leisure trade which have contributed to trade information and experience. Pakis is the primary feminine director from Turkey to be awarded this prestigious award.

Pakis began her skilled profession as a Human Sources Generalist for the Pfizer Pharmaceutical Firm’s HR Division. After six months with Pfizer, she was promoted to Assistant Human Sources Supervisor. Later Pakis left Pfizer to hitch Polin Waterparks. Finally, the enterprise advanced to require the necessity for each reorganization and prospective-export targets. In supporting this transition, Pakis was a part of the staff that took the primary initiatives towards structuring the human sources, gross sales and advertising departments, each in-house and overseas.

Pakis has served as a committee member of IAAPA EMEA (Worldwide Affiliation of Amusement Parks and Sights — Europe, Center East and Africa) M&S Committee and has been longstanding member of WWA, National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), and European Waterpark Association (EWA). Pakis is serving as a board member at Turkish Affiliation of Amusement Parks, Recreation and Sights (TEPEA). She is the pinnacle of waterpark and recreation committees. She can be serving as the pinnacle of the training and model committee at Journey and Play Parks Affiliation (IPAR).

Pakis has been serving as a jury member at Shining Star Awards, which is the one sights award group in Turkey since 2013. She has been a jury member on the MWINS Sports activities and Recreation Awards and she or he can be serving as a jury president at Outside Awards, Turkey.
