Writer Michael Rosen to talk at Westminster Abbey coronavirus service

Former youngsters’s laureate Michael Rosen is among the many audio system at a Westminster Abbey service remembering those that died in the course of the coronavirus pandemic.

The hour-long service of prayers, hymns and readings from friends is being led by the Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle.

Mr Rosen, an writer, youngsters’s laureate from 2007-2009 and who suffered badly with coronavirus, mentioned he was trying ahead to talking on the service.

He shared the occasion on Twitter with the phrases: “That is in the present day.

“I’m trying ahead to being there and doing a brief studying in honour of those that served and died in the course of the pandemic.”

Mr Rosen was put in a coma with Covid-19 and misplaced his sight in an eye fixed and listening to in an ear on account of microbleeds in his mind.

The Westminster service will begin at 12pm.
