EL PASO, TEXAS (KTSM) – Professor Cherry Duke and pianist Dr. Esequiel Meza, Jr., might be presenting songs by African American and African Diaspora composers on the UTEP Division of Music School Recital Collection, Saturday, Oct. 8 at 6 p.m.

The “Life & Loss of life” live performance might be showcasing works for voice and piano by underrepresented composers, particularly artwork songs by African American and African diaspora composers, together with a number of girls and three Latin American composers, starting from the 18th to the twenty first century.

“Life & Loss of life” will happen Saturday, Oct. 8, positioned on the Fox Positive Arts Recital Corridor from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Along with English language items, this system will embrace songs in Italian, German, French, and Spanish, a few of which have by no means earlier than been carried out within the U.S. The texts will deal with the gamut of life experiences corresponding to day by day existence, celebration, ardour, indecision, heartbreak, grief, and demise. The recital will conclude with a gospel-infused non secular that may carry the viewers to their ft.
