Firefighters extinguish attic fireplace in La Quinta residence


Hearth broken the attic of a house in La Quinta Monday morning, however no accidents have been reported.

Firefighters responded round 11:10 a.m. to the blaze in a single-story residence within the 54500 block of Alysheba Drive, arriving to seek out smoke displaying within the entryway, in line with the Riverside County Hearth Division.  

As fireplace crews labored on the attic fireplace, extra sources have been requested to the scene, in line with fireplace division officers. Jody Hagemann with the hearth division instructed Metropolis Information Service 12 engines responded.  

The fireplace was contained inside about 50 minutes. Hearth sources remained on the scene Monday afternoon conducting mop-up work.   

The reason for the hearth was unknown.
