Television is full of fantastic heroes. Some heroes are super with amazing powers, while others are more mundane without special abilities to rely on. Whatever the case, the show’s hero, will eventually succeed against their enemies and save the day.

However, saving the day isn’t always an easy task and, at times, seems unlikely for our heroes. This could be because the enemy is incredibly powerful or because the hero has some sort of weakness that is being exploited. Typically, heroes have some kind of weakness that deals directly with their powers or personality. Although, there are a few heroes out there who have very strange weaknesses that can totally incapacitate them.

10 He’s All That And More

Nickelodeon’s comedy sketch series All That had a superhero character that was a spoof of Superman named Superdude. Played by Kenan Thompson, Superdude looked nearly identical to Superman with a blue spandex suit, red cape, and signature hair curl, but instead of the iconic “S” on his chest Superdude had a “D.”

While having similar powers to Superman, Superdude had a different weakness. Superdude was lactose intolerant to an extreme degree. Dairy didn’t just cause digestive issues; it rendered Superdude completely powerless.

9 Sometimes The Most Powerful Weapon Comes In A Small Package

Although viewers of The Boys know that he isn’t a hero in every sense of the word, Black Noir is still a hero to the general public. Black Noir seems like a no-nonsense hero, working silently and taking down any enemy in his path.

Noir seems like he is indestructible, but he does have a strange weakness. Black Noir has a nut allergy. While nut allergies are common, seeing a food item take out a superhero is less so. There is a scene where Noir is incapacitated because Queen Maeve force-fed him an Almond Joy candy bar.

8 You Need The Right Fuel

Sportacus is a superhero from the children’s show LazyTown. Encouraging the citizens to eat healthy foods and get plenty of exercise, Sportacus is a shining example of living a healthy lifestyle. Sportacus’ goal is to ensure everyone in LazyTown is happy and healthy.

For all his fantastic athleticism, Sportacus can quickly be brought to a halt by one thing: eating processed sugar. If Sportacus eats any processed sugar, he experiences a severe sugar crash that he calls a “Sugar Meltdown.” It would seem like Sportacus to handle at least a little extra sugar for someone so athletic.

7 Try Your Hand At Magic

The Magicians is a fantasy television series filled with magic users of all kinds in a world straight from a children’s book. However, the magical world isn’t as kind in reality as in the book, and the series’ heroes must help protect the world using their abilities.

Magic seems like a relatively overpowered ability, but The Magicians have some drawbacks. One thing that can take a magic user out is damage to their hands. To cast spells, they must make hand signals; even if a hand is healed, the magic does not return to them.

6 Sometimes Powers Come And Go

Anyone who knows anything about Stranger Things knows that Eleven is a powerhouse. El has gone toe to toe with some of the series’ most dangerous enemies, using her psychokinetic powers to defeat them. However, even with her powers, things weren’t always easy for Eleven.

At the end of the third season, it appears that Eleven has lost her powers but isn’t sure why. The Mind Flayer had attacked her, and Dr. Brenner suggested that the attack had caused a stroke-like event in El. Of course, a stroke is a serious medical issue, but it is not often used as a hero’s weakness.

5 Listen To The Song Of The Canary

Sara Lance, also known as Canary, has been through the wringer in several shows in the Arrowverse. She survived a boat accident at sea, trained with the League of Assassins, died, was revived, and had multiple other things no one person should have to endure.

Sara has had her share of weaknesses as well. Her most recent weakness has been due to her alien DNA, which Sara received with her last revival. The alien DNA gave her regenerative healing powers, but once she became pregnant, her baby took the healing power away from her.

4 Go On An Interdimensional Journey

Morty Smith, one of the titular characters of Rick and Morty, is a teenage boy forced into wild adventures with his grandpa Rick Sanchez. Morty began the series as an extremely anxious and submissive person but has grown due to his many adventures.

However, Morty’s lack of self-confidence still comes into play and is his biggest weakness. This is especially true when it comes to love interests. Morty has caused serious issues in pursuit of love from others, including causing the entire Cronenberg catastrophe and having a human-Gazorpian baby.

3 Save The Planet With The Planeteers

In The New Adventures of Captain Planet, the spirit of the Earth sends five magic rings to young people across the planet to help save the Earth from destruction. When the power from the rings is combined, it creates the planet’s greatest hero, Captain Planet.

Captain Planet has the combined abilities of all the rings and is the ultimate hero in the fight against the planet’s destruction and pollution. Ironically, Captain Planet’s biggest weakness is pollution. Captain Planet is weakened by the very thing he is meant to destroy.

2 Try To Colonize A New World

Following a family of aliens who were forced to look for a new world to live on after an asteroid destroyed theirs, Solar Opposites has a cast of eccentric characters. The alien family consists of four aliens and one pupa that will eventually terraform the Earth.

1 Save The World One Patient At A Time

Originally brought to the big screen in Big Hero 6, Baymax has been given his own series and appeared in others. Baymax is a large, inflatable robot that serves as a “healthcare companion.” In his series, Baymax!, Baymax goes around helping those in need of medical attention.

Unfortunately, Baymax suffers from a couple of weaknesses. He is inflatable, so any sharp object could penetrate his skin, making him act like a drunk person. Also, he relies on battery power and needs to charge, a common weakness for electronics but not heroes.
