Household enjoyable as Porlock Carnival returns
THE razzmatazz returned to a West Somerset village on the weekend as Porlock Carnival was again.
There have been loads of floats and strolling entries within the first carnival in three years because of the pandemic.
Saturday’s (September 3) enjoyable kicked off with stiltwalkers, a jazz band, facepainting. Punch and Judy and the Wellington Majorettes.
The procession from the primary automobile park was led by the village crier, adopted by the native hearth brigade, the carnival queen and princesses and several other vibrant floats and teams.
The leisure continued within the village corridor, the place there was a youngsters’s disco, forward of the presentation of cups and rosettes.
Cash raised on the occasion will likely be shared between native charities and good causes.
