‘Don’t Fear Darling’ Venice Movie Pageant Photograph Gallery – Deadline


UPDATED with crimson carpet pictures: Olivia Wilde arrived on the Lido Monday morning for the hotly anticipated press conference for her newest movie Don’t Fear Darling. Wilde was joined by her principal solid together with Harry Styles, Gemma Chan, and Chris Pine. As beforehand reported, Florence Pugh, the film’s lead, was not in attendance as a result of her flight from the Budapest set of the Dune sequel didn’t land in Venice till after the presser started. Set in Nineteen Fifties America, the movie follows Alice (Pugh) and Jack (Kinds) who appear fortunate to be residing within the idealized group of Victory, an experimental firm city housing the boys who work for the top-secret Victory Challenge and their households. The Nineteen Fifties societal optimism espoused by their CEO, Frank (Pine) — equal elements company visionary and motivational life coach — anchors each facet of every day life within the tight-knit desert utopia.

Whereas the husbands spend day by day contained in the Victory Challenge Headquarters, engaged on the “improvement of progressive supplies,” their wives — together with Frank’s elegant companion, Shelley (Chan) — get to spend their time having fun with the wonder, luxurious, and debauchery of their group. Life is ideal, with each resident’s wants met by the corporate. All they ask in return is discretion and unquestioning dedication to the Victory trigger.

However when cracks of their idyllic life start to look, exposing flashes of one thing far more sinister lurking beneath the enticing façade, Alice finds herself questioning precisely what they’re doing in Victory, and why.

The movie opens domestically September 23.
