Letter: Libraries want to offer books that present the breadth of human expertise | Letters To Editor

Latest information concerning the availability of books to youngsters has gotten me fascinated with folks outdoors the norm. It’s an enormous class, together with racial minorities, who hardly ever noticed themselves in image books till current a long time; LGBTQI folks, who’re nonetheless talked about in hushed tones; folks with disabilities; and non-Christians — like me — who don’t imagine what the dominant religion teaches.

Any college or library that avoids books about how racial minorities have been handled, books exhibiting same-sex {couples}, or books about folks with totally different talents or beliefs is doing a disservice to all of us. We have to see and find out about others to respect others.
