Studying publicizes New Australian Fiction Prize 2022 shortlist

The shortlist for the Readings New Australian Fiction Prize has been introduced.

The shortlisted titles are:

The shortlist was chosen from 57 entries by Readings workers Christine Gordon, Carolyn Watson, Susan Stevenson and Tye Cattanach. They are going to be joined by final yr’s winner Andrew Pippos and managing director Mark Rubbo to pick out the winner, who receives $3000.

The Readings New Australian Fiction Prize is introduced to the most effective new contribution to Australian literature. Pippos was awarded the prize last year for Lucky’s (Picador). The shortlists for the Readings Children’s Prize and YA Book Prize had been introduced earlier this month, with the winners of all three Readings prizes to be introduced on Wednesday, 26 October.
