James Gregory comedy show coming to Owensboro in September

James Gregory is bringing his family comedy show to the Owensboro Convention Center on Sept. 15, and he’s planning to take the audience back to his childhood without cell phones and porch conversations.

Gregory’s show will aim to turn back the clock to a time when people sat on the front porch and talked to each other face to face. Gregory said his shows display a different brand of humor — and notable have no vulgarity.

“I have lived long enough to know people, know life”, Gregory said. “My comedy is based on my life experiences. It’s real, it’s funny, and the audience loves it. That’s why I’m still in business.”

As he reflects on the 20-year-old memories, he said they provide a “hilarious comedy experience” and “rib-tickling reflections on life from the front porch.”

Tickets can be purchased here and cost $40 for standard and $52 for premium. Premium seating is closer to the stage. All seating is general admission. All ages are welcome. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.
