Seattle rain sales space reveals Californians what they (and we) are lacking


After a miserably sizzling summer time throughout a lot of the U.S., the Seattle tourism board is utilizing the town’s notorious (or well-known, relying on who you ask) moist climate as a promoting level by taking a pop-up rain sales space on the highway.

A Reuters video reveals a sales space in Venice Seaside, California, slowly drip water down on individuals as they kiss and pose for photographs in entrance of a backdrop of the House Needle and the Olympic Mountains (don’t ask how they’re seen on a wet day).

Go to Seattle Chief Advertising Officer Ali Daniels is captured sporting a shirt with the phrases: “Have you ever ever kissed within the rain?” Anybody can go to the rain sales space to chill off and really feel “a bit of the Seattle romance,” she mentioned.

The sales space seems to fall into the tourism board’s strategy of romanticizing Seattle’s gloomy climate and the magic of “dancing,” “singing” and sure, “kissing” within the rain.
