FBI testing results in new findings in ‘Rust’ film taking pictures


(CNN) – Actor Alec Baldwin is taking difficulty with an FBI report concerning the October taking pictures loss of life of a cinematographer on the set of his film “Rust.”

The FBI says the gun Baldwin was holding when cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot couldn’t have been fired with out the set off being pulled.

Baldwin’s lawyer stated Sunday that the report is being “misconstrued” and that “the gun fired in testing just one time – with out having to tug the set off – when the hammer was pulled again and the gun broke in two totally different locations.”

The lawyer added, “The FBI was unable to fireside the gun in any prior check, even when pulling the set off, as a result of it was in such poor situation.”

Baldwin instructed ABC Information in December he cocked the gun, however that “the set off wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the set off.”

The FBI forensics report says if the gun was cocked the set off needed to have been pulled for the gun to fireside.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Workplace now has the FBI report because it continues its investigation into the taking pictures. Investigators will give attention to how a stay spherical of ammunition could have made it onto the film set.
