Comic Raju Srivastava stays on ventilator


Fashionable comedian-actor Raju Srivastava continues to be “essential and on ventilator” within the intensive care unit (ICU) of the AIIMS right here, sources mentioned on Friday.

The 58-year-old stand-up comedian was admitted to the hospital after suffering a heart attack on Wednesday and later underwent angioplasty.

“Srivastava continues to be essential and on ventilator within the ICU,” the supply advised PTI.

The comic is being handled by Dr Nitish Naik, professor on the division of cardiology on the AIIMS.

Srivastava’s cousin Ashok Srivastava had on Wednesday night mentioned the comedian suffered a coronary heart assault whereas exercising.

“He was doing his routine train and whereas he was on the treadmill, he abruptly fell down. He suffered a coronary heart assault and was instantly taken to the AIIMS hospital,” he had advised PTI, including that the actor-comedian’s spouse Shikha Srivastava had reached Delhi.

Srivastava, who has been energetic within the leisure business since late Nineteen Eighties, obtained recognition after taking part within the first season of stand-up comedy present “The Nice Indian Laughter Problem” in 2005.

He has appeared in Hindi movies equivalent to “Maine Pyar Kiya”, “Baazigar”, “Bombay to Goa” (remake) and “Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya”. He was one of many contestants on “Bigg Boss” season three.

Srivastava is the present chairman of the Movie Growth Council Uttar Pradesh.
